This was the first year I have had a fully grassed up paddock for foaling. Usually I would have had the sprinklers on for weeks and only a short carpet grass prepared for the foaling mares.

Now due to paddock rotation, use of the muster point and water capturing earthworks, I have paddocks full of grass and a huge increase in species.

This winter was also the first winter I have come out of with 2 paddocks grassed up and unused!
